Athleticism runs deep in Marshawn’s family as his mother Delisa Lynch was a high school sprinter, his brother Alonzo played 11 seasons in the NFL as a DB, both of Marshawn’s cousins Robert Jordan and Josh Johnson would also all go on to play at the professional level.
Lynch went onto play College Football at the University of California not far from his home town. As a freshman with limited carries, Marshawn quickly demonstrated he was a force to be reckoned with gaining628 yards on 71 carries (an astounding 8.85 yards per carry), as well as tallying up 10 touchdowns.
