New Delhi: In order to be ready for his 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) comeback, Rishabh Pant is doing all possible in his preparations. After suffering potentially fatal injuries in a high-speed vehicle accident in December 2022, the wicket-keeper batsman is almost fully recovered and will play again for the Delhi Capitals (DC) this season.

The wicketkeeper batsman has made an incredible comeback from his leg operations, which left him unable to walk and on crutches not too long ago. But on Tuesday, about a year after sharing his first Instagram update following his vehicle accident, Pant uploaded a video in which he is seen working out hard at the gym while wearing a mask.

Pant is presently receiving rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where his most recent video was shot. The wicket-keeper batter is shown performing a variety of workouts in the video, including leg and muscle conditioning. Fans responded to the video with some really kind wishes for Pant's success when he makes a comeback.

In the 2024 IPL, Delhi Capitals will be led by Rishabh Pant.
When Pant went to an Arun Jaitley Stadium game in New Delhi, during the 2023 Indian Premier League, he was on crutches. But he is scheduled to return for the club in the IPL 2024, almost a year later, and he will captain the squad from the opening game. Parth Jindal, a co-owner of the Delhi Capitals, has already stated that Pant will guide DC from the start of the season.

Jindal also stated that Pant would probably play as a pure batter for the Delhi Capitals during the first half of the 2024 Indian Premier League and won't take wickets to control his workload whenever he returns. In the second half of the season, he may go back to keeping wickets, depending on how his body reacts.

"Ishbakh is at bat. He is sprinting. He has begun to take wickets. For the IPL, he should be totally recovered, according to Parth Jindal.

Rishabh is someone I anticipate to play in the IPL, and I think he'll lead from the first game. He will only be used as a batter for the first seven games, after which we will decide whether to play him for the remainder of the IPL based on how his body responds, he continued.

On April 23, Delhi Capitals will play Punjab Kings in the first game of the IPL 2024 season. DC is hoping to break their championship drought this season since they have never taken home the IPL crown.
